Abstract:

This presentation proposes an RF FIR filter in Millimeter-wave range. For sharp filtering characteristic compared to conventional 2nd order bandpass filter (BPF), the proposed filter architecture is based on direct form of FIR filter. As a result, the proposed circuit can achieve much sharper filtering characteristic. One of the application of this filter is image rejection filter. The findings are verified using IBM 8HP 0.13um model technology on 140 GHz amplifiers, time delay lines, and power combiners.
