Abstract:

Power amplifier (PA) is the last stage of the transmitter that consumes lots of DC power to make strong RF transmit signal. Large output signal with high power level makes PA design more challenging compared to other transceiver building blocks. In this seminar, I will talk about basics of PA like different classes, metrics (PE, PAE, PG, S-parameters), and measurement set ups. Then I will present our recent works on PA in MICS group.
